An urgent call for help goes out over the Belg-L List. A Belgian Groenendael, Nevar, is critically ill. Donations pore into the veterinary clinic, as well as the clinic of the specialist, the dog has been referred to, overwhelming both clinics. It's a bit chaotic, everyone wants to help, the information on the list is conflicting. Sadly, despite the flood of donations and the efforts of two veterinarians, Nevar died later this evening.

A renewed call for a Belgian Emergency Fund is discussed on the list most of the day. At some point the night before, a man stepped forward and offered his PayPal account to help facilitate the donations. Today this idea was expanded upon and we now have the mechanism is place to facilitate a crisis, should the need arise.
